i dont think keyless go was ever an option for the w208. you might be able to find all the parts for the retrofit like new door locks that would fit the w208 doors, gear selector, EIS and some others from a smashed up w209 or something. all these parts are gonna be expensive and then the last hurdle would be getting the keyless go card. the thing about that is that the key is encrypted/activated thru mercedes benz and i think its based on VIN #'s, being that the w208 was never offered with keyless go, it would prob be very hard to get a card. im sure nothing is impossible if the money is there.

No you had it right the first time - keyless go - press the button and the engine fires up.

Those automatic start things by Viper and companies of the like dont work with benz's to my understanding. Right or wrong?

Retrofitting Keyless go would also require the installation of about 10 antennas in various parts of the car. Even if it was possible, it would probably be cheaper to buy a car that came with it.

haters crazy
You could always go the ricer way and put a push button into your car. You still have to put the key in the ignition and turn it, but now you have to push the button to actually start it. You just put a button between the ignition wire. When the button is not pushed it doesnt form a full circuit, therefore car doesnt turn on, get it? Its very simple. My friend had it done on his accord.

hahahaa thats basically how the hold keyless go worked anwyays, at least on the cl where I got my shift knob from. It had ENGINE START written on the shifter, and it fits perfectly on the 208, but it is obviously functionless unless one wires in the igintion like blackbenzz suggests. Good luck

i made the keyless go for my car.mercedes wanted about $3200 for the whole system but it wouldn't work with our cars because there are two connections that come up from the inside of the shifter which requires you to change youre shifter pole to a thiker one. so i just bougt an after market keless-go system that let's you unlock the doors by walking to the car with the card in youre wallet. and i custom made a shifter with push start botton in it and i used the alarm module and i put the mother bored off of my spare key in the bypass module and nopw when i get with in five meters of teh cars the doors unlock and the ignition kill disengages and i just push the botton on my shifter and start the car.i will take pitures and post them up. the shift knob is specially the part that i'm proud of because i put a light behind the push start switch and it looks very nice. the light turns on with my regular lights when i turn them on.

Those are not pictures of a custom keyless go system. Those are pictures of a fake brabus shift knob.. Do you have any REAL pics? ie: install, setup, supplies???

first off lucas you might want to read my description that i said i just put on a brabus sticker to make the light look nicer at night so no one said that i had a brabus shift knob. and i am in no way trying to claim that i have a brabus shift knob. so here is the answer to youre first comment. sencond i told everyone that i made the keyless go my self with a push start botton that can be found anywhere, with a after market keyless-go alarm system and an ignition kill by-pass modul that can also be found anywhere and you can make it work as long as you have a spare key for youre car you can take off the board and the battey and put it inside the by-pass moduel and install it under the steering wheel inside the plastic cover. so thats the answer to youre second comment. do everyone a favore and read everything a nd the explanations before you make any comments or start doubting people. just because i know how to make it and i have the knoledge you don't have to hate on me for it. but every one else thank you and it's very easy belive me you guys can do it just look on ebay for keyless-go and you can buy a alarm with keyless-go for $50.

VIP that looks great, its good to see more people getting into tuning the 320. Do you think you could take some pics of what you just described (installation proceedure)? I bet there would be alot of interest in replicating the proceedure. Also, is that a CF ashtray cover? Looks sweet. What was in the takeout box?

VIP: You mentioned that you permanently connected the motherboard of your key to the bypass module. Doesn't this make it easy for a thief to steal your car because if they get to the key thats connected to your module, and if they know what theyre doing, then they can easily start the car and take it?

funky that is a very good point but the key behind that problem is that when i walk away from the car for more than 5 meters the keyless-go automatically locks the doors and engages the ignition kill so they won't be able to start the car unless if they have the keyless-go remote with them. and also i took out the board out of the black plastic cover so even if they do get their hands on the board and mange to disengage the ignition kill(which is impossible) they can't just fit the board into the keyhole because you need the key to be in there with the eye connected to to it and facing the keyhole eye for the car to start. and also i have an alarm with in car camera so i have full viewing of the car as soon as my alarm goes off.
to my favorite member MR. KING320 thank you very much for all the great comments. and about the CF astray cover i made that. it's just CF vinyl and i covered all my wood trim pieces with CF vinyl. if you like i can send you more pics. and about the keyless-go installation it's too much typing. if you like send me an e-mail with youre cell phone number and i will call you and go over the details with you on how to install it. my e-mail address is AAFRASIAB@YAHOO.COM

It's actually 5 antennas.

you would have to have a new shifter assy also as the wires for the buttons run down the column of the shifter shaft.
