Wheel alignment
Guys,
Here is a question for you. I need to do wheel alignment to save some left tires, as they are wearing off on the outside. I home, they would last another 5K if I do that.
I called few places, they gave me estimates from $85-$100 for all 4 wheels, then I've decided to call my dealer and try my luck. So they told me the following.
Alignment is $160, but if we need to adjust gas chambers it would be andother $155 + $35 for bolts tightning.
My questions is WHAT KIND OF BS IS THAT?
Can I just getaway with $90 alignment from WheelWorks, or I better take it to the dealer? Also, anyone have good shop in Bay Area for alignments?

I got mine done 2 at a time, the fronts first and then the back. It cost me $100. Each time so total is $200. If I got it done together, it would've cost me maybe $180? Anyways, you do not necessarily have to have it done at the dealer. Make sure you get referrals for a good alignment shop as mine has been around for some 60+ years and one of the best. So I didn't mind paying a little extra. So people could do it for $100 but I didn't feel comfortable. To each it's own, I guess. I try not to go cut corners on my car's service, unless I know and trust the people I'm dealing with. good luck
