What kind of data does the computer store?
I have kind of a strange question, but maybe someone who knows can hopefully answer. What kind of data does the computer store?
Does it store stuff like the following:
- Time you turned on the car
- How fast / far you drove
- Time you turned the car off
- Multiple entries of the same data (like several weeks worth)
I know the "trip computer" settings are all stored in the dash. I imagine that there is some kind of "data-logging" that can take place on the car, but to what extent and how thorough is it?

i know some cars store info on the last seconds before a crash occured...but i dont think it goes back for days or even weeks. you can buy little chips that can plug into the car and store this kinda info though
