Questions reguarding CLK320 '00

ok i have a few questions that got me woundering for quite a while now..... first... it's about the ESP&BAS thing.... i no the sensors r faulty and randomly the ESP and BAS lights come on.... now i was woundering.... if the lights do come on.... is it just the sensors malfunctioning thus causing the lights? or is it that when the lights do come on.... ESP and BAS will stop working? also... i hear the click or clunk noise when i accelerate from a roll... let say i'm rolling on ~20-30KM/h and when i give it some gas, no matter if it's alot of gas or little, i hear the "clunk" or "tuk" noise comming from under the car... i suspect it's the transmission thats making the noise... anyone no what is causing this? this noise has been there for a long long time.... it doesn't annoy me or anything but i'm just woundering if this goes on will something fail in the future.... thanks!

i have got the same sound on my 320 01 . It is also been there for while . a mechanic once told me that, the sound might be from the diffrential ,and it is from the Rear Axel shaft in particalr . He said ,the Inner joint might be loss and that what causing the clicking or "TUK" sound when you accelerate and some time when deaccelerate. the problem that part cost about $800 .

My 2000 CLK 430 makes that click too...bugs me but I'm trying to get over it as the dealer quoted $3K to fix it - seems like it might be a flaw on the w208

Anyone else have this problem?
