Weird Smell!!

Weird Smell!!
Everytime i turn my AC on for the first minute or so there is a weird smell coming out of the air vents, then after a while everything is OK 
. Could this be a sign that i need to replace the cabin air-fliter or whatever is called, if so where is a good place to get one and is it hard to do it yourself. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been replaced. In feedback appreciated. Thanks E.

if you use your AC a lot, you could be smelling a musty odor everytime you start the air... its just the condensation from the air vents that has turned into mild mold...
good habit to start is, turn off the AC about 2-5 minutes before reaching your destination and just let the venting air dry out the air ducts... then, this smell won't come around when you start it up next time...

thanks for the replies, the thing is that i don't use the ac alot not a big fan unless i have to. I think I'm going to change the filter and see if it helps.
Does anybody know where the filter is located in the car and how hard is to get out and replace?
