CLK 430 Cell Phone Options

So I took the plung and bought the CLK 430 Cab that I spoke about in a previous thread. I thought I had lost it too another customer that scooped it up when I took my deposite back. It seems that financing fell through for that individual. I must say I was very happy with how Dreher-Holloway of Manchester NH handled the situation. They honored the original deal that I had negotiated. I do know for a fact that there were two others after me that were willing to pay the asking price. Holloway honored our original agreement. I should be taking delivery on Tuesday of this week. Anyways, the reason I am opening a new thread is because I was wondering if anyone out there has had any luck finding aftermarket phones for these vehicles. The phone that originally came with this vehicle was an Analog phone, virtually useless now. It looks like the newer V60 Motorola phone through Mercedes is around $2100. Anyone know any alternatives? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

None. Mercedes was smart in designing this one. They made it so that only a compatible phone with the Mercedes firmware in it will integrate.

Unfortunately, Mercedes also seems to change the phone models often. If I remember correctly, the MY2000 still used analog StarTacs, MY2001 the digitial Timeport, and MY2002 the V60. I have an MY2001. If I wanted the V60, I would have to buy a kit to make the phone compatible with my car. I'm not sure if the MY2000 can be made compabtible with the V60.

If you use your phone a lot in the car, spring for the v60.

I debated for weeks over this, but now that I have the phone I would never buy another car without it

It even works well with the top down
