Running cable

I haven't looked past the door sills, but is there a simple way to run cable form the HU area to the trunk?

I'm in the middle of doing some custom stuff to my car and I need to run VGA, USB and audio to the trunk from the pocket under the head unit... is there an easy way to get down there and tunnel the stuff under the cabin, or do I need to run it under the seat to the door sills and then back along with the rest of the wiring?

TIA

The door sills are probably the easiest way to run wiring through to the trunk. They pop right off (obviously if you have illuminated door sills you need to be a bit more careful) and you can run the wires in the plastic casing along with the wiring harness. I would run the cable under behind the dash to the sides of the car and get to the door sills from the kick panels.

Thanks... I did the sills myself, so I know how to get in there and run cables in the casing. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to go behind the dash, because it's something I haven't done before, AND it adds another few feet of wiring to the whole contraption...

I'll look around and see if there are any threads on running cable back there so I can get some pointers.

And another thing...

I also need to tap into an ACC line back there... my guess is the power outlet right on the ashtray would be good, but if there's a better place, I'm all ears.

Dunno if you've checked out ebay for your vga cable needs...I just got a 50' vga cable for pretty cheap. The shipping was more than the actual item haha.
