CLK 430 vs CL 500 vs S500

CLK 430 vs CL 500 vs S500
I put this thread under Kill Stories also cuz I didn't know which one it belonged in.
So I'm driving on the 133 south going into laguna and the POS CL500 cuts me off. I dont mean on accident or anthing, he knew exactly what he was doing and was laughing about it too. I was soo mad so I tailgated him until I got home but thats besides the point.
I was wondering, if I was to punch it, would I be able to pull ahead of the CL or even for that matter the S class? I didnt try it because I didnt want to embarress myself like that. The 0-60 times on all three of these cars is 6.1 but obviously there was other things to consider.
My question is, should I have tried to pass the CL?

You should have tried anyway, and you'd have your answer... 
It's a tough call, because a new CL already has you on displacement... but he's also 600 lbs. heavier than your 430. If he was stock he only has you by 30hp or so, so it would have been a close race IMO.
Next time just try it and see...

But the only thing is, in laguna if your gonna race, you only have about 3 secs of holding down the gas before you have to slam on the break to wait for a pedestrian. It wouldnt be worth trying to looking like a fool infront of a million people.
