Timeport phone
I'm current using a Timeport that came with my 2001 CLK with SprintPCS. SprintPCS sucks... I'm tired of the phone often not ringing and getting voicemail notifications 12 hours after the fact. This has been going on for the last 18 months that I've been on SprintPCS and my other friends on Sprint think it blows too.
So I want to switch back to AT&T. I found a replacement phone but from the picture, it doesn't look like it has the Organic EL multicolor display even though the phone is badged Mercedes (and shows the rest of the kit including MB manual). Not only that, I looked at mbusa.com and the 2002 Timeport doesn't look like it has a color display either (yet its display also looks different from the one I'm interested in purchasing).
So did they stop using the color displays with the Mercedes Timeports? I don't necessarily care about the color because it's not true color but it does set it apart from regular Timeports which is what I like about it.

The Timeport comes in many flavors. One is the top of the line Timeport with the 3 color screen. Others have the normal LCD screen. It depends on the model # and service type.
So, in short, yes, the 3 color screen is available for certain providers.
