Did you cut ur springs? The back looks pretty slammed. I was at F1 yesterday slamming my car again, now both front and back are tucked in.

I'll be driving a lot this week so I didn't wash my car during the weekend. I'll take some pix when I wash the car later this week.

Great thread! There are lots of nice CLK's around the world!

Here is a pic of ours. We just picked her up last week, a 1999 model with 16,000 miles. The only Mods so far are the AMG wheels and tinted windows to beat the Texas heat but hey, we have only had her a week.

That's a good looking CLK, welcome to the forum

I notice another mod (probably made by the previous owner), the euro turn signal blinker on the fender.

You need to meet us at the next GTG, check the Events and Gatherings from time to time.

Thanks pocholin...Looking forward to one of the GTG's! Those turn sigs are standard for '99's. MB didn't start with the turn sig's in the mirrors until 2000 from what I understand...correct me if I am wrong.

Where are the GTG's in Houston anyhow? My wife and I are probably a little too old to cruise with some of you youngsters but we'll come check it out sometime anyhow.

You are never too old for GTG's, they are usually at the corner of westheimer and post oak, at the galeria.

I look forward to meeting you.

I think those turn signals on the fenders are aftermarket, may be somebody else can verify this for us.

Wished I still had pics of my 19s to show... but I will make due with what I have now, back to stock AMG 17s.

Here's my baby with new brabus suspension.

Suspension Specs:
Brabus Suspension (Brabus springs & Bilstein shocks)
#1 Pads in Front & Rear
1.5" Total Drop

mmgrad,

How is the ride now? I was going to get this done in a few weeks, and was wondering the ride changes. Also, where did you get it? Same car, Black/Ash.

I was expecting the ride to be harsh since i put #1 pads all around, but to my surprise, the ride didn't change very much at all. I highly recommend this setup.

I had the install done at D2 Technik in Alhambra, CA. My car is actually Black Opal/Oyster....

Supra- Thats the same color as my car... so I gotta love it. Although I sometimes wish I had charcoal interior (Oyster is hard to keep clean).

By the way, now that I've lowered my ride, a CLK at factory height just seems waaaay too high off the ground.

But still, lovely car! Nice rims... much better than those hidious stock 320 wheels.

Hi mmgrad
yes , I think black opal is kind of special colour , I love it too
well , recently I m thinking to lower my clk , i agree that it is a bit high from the factory height ><
I only use those 17" amg in summer time and use the factory 16" rims in winter , since always snowing in here , i have to do so ...
terrible weather here

.......No. CLK 320's come with chrome window trim and CLk430's come with black window trim in North America. Just as the interior of a CLk320 is made of burlwanut trim that comes in the more expensive CL and S class while the CLk430 comes with birdseye black. I'm not sure how MB makes their decisions.

He's right, those turn signals were standard on the early model CLK's.

...........No, those turn signals are not aftermarket, but yes they were present in CLK's prir to 2000. AS far as I know and I know because I'm a Modaholic, there are no aftermarket fender turn signals to place anew in a CLK that did nolt have them before. Therefore, any CLK that has the fender turn signals is a 1998 or 1999 CLK even if the wheeels have been changed.

Ted, you are right that '98 & '99 models have side markers, and '00+ have side mirror signals. However, they do have aftermarket fender mounted turn signals....
remember this CLK?:

Its a gorgeous red 2000 CLK320 in seattle with BOTH mirror mounted turn signals and fender mounted turn signals.

Easy, the CLK320 has chrome trim, and CLK430/55s have Black trim.
