I'm new to the site, but I just wanna say hello to everyone! I own a 04 CLK 500 and although I'm starting to have some problems, I could not be more pleased with the car. I have owned a Lexus and numerous domestic cars in my day and NONE can compare to my 5. I'm so pleased with the quality of my car, that I truly feel like I will always own one. Thanx M.B world!

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
My CLK was originally this colour. As a 17 year old getting it as a first car, I didn't like it, so they had it painted white for me... I missed the colour.

Changing the rims soon and looking to drop it a bit.

just curious. you're on 19" and lowered. you running 235 frt and 265 rear? what pads do you have?
i have 19" and lowered with 235 and 265 rubber and pad #1. and yours look much lower.
i measured my gap, the top edge of the rim to the wheel arch and its 7cm around. whats yours at? if you have time to check.
thanks

if you're asking me I'm running 245 front and 275 in the rear.... may push to 295 =-)
I honestly don't remember what pad I'm on I believe it's 2 in the rear and 1 in the front. my wheel is actually tucked under the fender. Rear is .125. it's probably the kleeman suspension.
Hope that helps you.

yes, since the tire size is a constant factor(235/35/19)and (265/30/19), the measurement will give me an idea of how much gap is left between the tire and wheel well. some guys say 1 finger, 2 finger gap, but is that with fat fingers? and at what angle you have your finger makes it inconsistent. so i figure this would be more "scientific" so to speak.
so are your supra's all maxed out with massive twin turbos and 900bhp?

I went based off of the scale I use at work. That's how I know the gap between the fender and tire.
one is single turbo w/ 800rwhp =-)
other one is my beater daily =-) so since Cali is the way it has twins and a few goodies. =-D

what kind of special tool/scale do you use? and what i meant earlier is 7cm gap at all 4 wheels.
our clks does not have exactly neck breaking acceleration. thats why you have the suped-up supras and i have a bike. you gotta love 0-60 blasts in 3 secs. especially at the red light with some exotic car next to you, and they're quickly trying to set up the launch control.

Your car looks sick! Quick question though: did you run the car through a carwash with the A/C blowing just before the picture was taken? That water in the passenger side footwell might be the same issue that fried my blower and blower regulator (mud and leaves blocking the drainage tube under the windshield). Just a heads up!
