porsche brakes conversion?
Hi im new here. just discovered this wonderful forum.
was wondering do any of u guys know whether its possible to fit both the front and rear brakes of a 2004 996 porsche 911 to my car? im running on 18" Brabus rims so im sure the brakes will fit size wise. but im worried abt whether i need mounting brackets and where can i find them? what about whether they will affect the traction control and the rear handbrake?
any of u guys have toyed with this idea before?

Actually, I've not considered this. Ate makes the AMG brakes for the CLK55. Have you considered going with the AMG setup?

it will take more than just a bracket to make it fit... the hat on the porsche rotors use a completely different bolt pattern from the MB, so, you'd have to either re-drill new holes (not recommended) or buy new rotors meant for MB that are exactly the same size as the OEM Porsche rotors...
thats a lot of work to try and make something work...

hmm yah that sounds like a lot of work. think i'll pass on this one.
well ive also considered the amg setup using the amg brakes for the current c55 amg. however, i dont like the cross drilled disc look, preferring the slotted look. i havent been able to find a similarly sized slotted disc to replace the oem one. the size is 345mm by 28mm. if i can find a slotted disc to go with this kit, then i'll definitely go for it.
thanks for the advice.

while searching for slotted brakes for the amg kit, i never managed to find any OE replacement discs. i finally managed to find a company that CNCs the discs. they are charging $385 for the front pair. wonder whether it is expensive? has anyone dealt with this company before?

Hey guys i kinda need someone's help badly. I know its a long shot but i hope that someone will be so kind and answer my call for help.
Like i mentioned above, i want to purchase a pair of slotted front rotors for the c32/c55 amg kit. However, since im way over here in singapore, the compnay does not accept credit card payments. Either i'll have to send a money order which would take very long, or would someone be so kind as to pay on my behalf 1st? The credit card billing addresss has to be a US one. The thing which is the most troublesome is that they will send the discs to you then unfortunately u'll have to send them to me. Of course i'll bear all costs. The cost is USD$385 excluding shipping and the company's details are listed below. Also their website is listed on my post above. I can use paypal and pay you back any time.
If any kind soul dosent mind helping, could you pls pm me your email and i'll let the company know.
