Lately I have been watchin the needle of my gas tank drop... anyone have any input?
Fuel filter perhaps?
I dont have a fuel leak thats for sure... thanks for the help

PS - when I took out my air filters to be cleaned (k&n)... one air filter was visually, dirtier than the other.... whats up with that ?

Well, a bad o2 sensor will most likely trigger a code, but a bad MAF won't unless it's really bad, then sometimes it triggers an O2 code and it's not really an o2 problem. Atleast, that's what I've read and experienced.
Do you have K&N filters? If so, they have been suspect to premature MAF failure.
Generally, the MAFs on the CLK go out anywhere from 30k to 80k miles....at least that's the general mileage for people on here. If your gas mileage is going down, your acceleration is hesitant, shifts are not smooth and your car just acts tempramental, I would put it at a MAF problem.
I would just buy one online, put it in yourslef and see if you get a difference. If not, take it out, shelf it and now that you WILL have to use it eventurally.
