I'm from Malaysia but have lived in the US for the past 12 years. To give you an idea, my mother's new 328i back in 1994 was ~$93kUSD and that was because it was a locally assembled BMW as opposed to imported-it didn't even have power seats! Cars in the US are typically cheaper than the majority of the rest of world. Over there, taxes on cars are also based on the size of the engine, correct me if i'm wrong but the taxes on my old E39 4.9l M5 would run just under ~$5kUSD a year in road taxes just to register, hence the cars over there are a lot smaller. I don't even want to consider how much my 6.0l denali would cost to drive over there.
btw congratualtions on a beautiful car, I love my daily driven W208 with a V8. all euro cars are euro spec in asia also and seem to be dropped with euro lighting, something sort after here in the US! A relative of mine told me that cars in Malaysia are a still cheaper than in Singapore and Hong Kong.

yup cars in malaysia are subjected to a import tax n excise tax depending on the car model and engine capacity and yes klttan the road tax would be that region but lets not forget the insurance ha ha
yup cars in the usa are very much cheaper
