Tranny lag?

Okay, so my car has been sluggish in the lower gears, especially at take off, and normal around town driving. There are sometime these little hiccups at freeway speeds. I took it to the dealership and they reset the transmission, and told me to drive aggressivly. I did but it's still doing the same thing.

are you in winter mode? how many miles do you have? you maywant to take it to the dealer or a good independed mercedes shop and have the tranny fluid changed (the lifetime fluid claim MB makes is BS). Also, when you have the fluidchanged make sure they get the fluid in the torque converter as well, and check the bearings in the transmission, MB actually redesigned the tranny bearings for the w209 because the ones in the 208 are terrible and have been known to come apart in side the transmission, which will destroy the thing.

No not in winter mode, and I have 41,850 miles on the clock.

Thanks for the advice.

i'd have the thing checked out as soon as you can, its not all that cheap to do, but if you find the right shop it will be a LOT less expensive and less painful than having a tranny go out on you. I had my tranny fluid changed and the car seemed to be worse than it was initially, but after a day or so of it readjusting it was so much better than before the service.
