should have researched before gettin k&n
i installed brand new k&n filters on my 430. next thing you know, within a weeks time. a CEL comes on. took it to the shop and a few hours later got a call from the supervisor that my MAF was bad. $270 for the part. didnt have to pay for the labor. the question is.... which aftermarket filter should i go next? and also, for the experienced tuners... will the MAF sensor go out on me again??

This is common for a lot of K&N users. I have had them for about 7-8 months or so and haven't had any problems. It seems most have problems if they over oil them. A lot of people recommend Green filters. You might give those a try.

Cost usually depends on who you're getting it from.
I and many others on MBWorld.org like www.euroteckmotorsports.com because that company is reputable and they ship quickly.
You can search the forums on why Green Filters are good filters, but the biggest problem with K&N's is users oiling/cleaning them incorrectly.
If I remember right, that's very hard to mess up on with a Green Filter, but hey, there are a lot of idiots out there..
