Comparing the even to the uneven is really helpful. So 36 Front and 37 Rears is good?
No prob, glad I could help... I think I'm running at 37-38 Front, 35-36 Rear.... The Front should have higher psi since the engine makes the front heavier...

oh yeah, if your tires are as bad as that in the picture, you can probably run the fronts at 38-39 so they can even out a little better (by technically overinflating it a little)

Just changed first set of tires.

After I increased the pressure at 9,000 miles as stated earlier and repeated above, after dismal uneven tire wear because of underinflation, -- I got 24,000 miles on the original set of Michelin Pilot Sport.

Tire pressures of 33/32 are just WRONG as listed on my gas filler door.

THOSE LOW PRESSURES BENEFIT TIRE MANUFACTURERS, TIRE SHOPS AND -- SCREW SOME CONSUMERS.

My MB service shop wanted to replace my tires at 12,000 miles... - go figure.

If you keep it at the suggested 32/33 listed on the fuel door panel, this is what you will get:

Danny, I couldn't load the picture. Can you post the pictures again?

THanks,

No problem... here is a picture of the tires properly inflated.. plenty of deep grooves and very visible Nike-like swoosh marks on the side...

and finally, here is a pic of an under-inflated tires @ the factory psi setting, notice the absense (completely worn out) of the Nike-like swoosh marks

Slk 230 & CLK500
Not withstanding the tire pressure but why does Mercedes state that the rears should be higher on the rears then the fronts. I myself am running 36 front/38 rear.
