Dont buy the interstate battery. Either get the factory one or a lightweight racing battery (i know weight reduction on an MB is almost pointless, but when i costs less and works just as well, why not?)

if u decide to get the factory battery, be sure to call mercedes roadside service...u can avoid payin the dealer's labor fees and they come directly to your place!

after you change the battery, you need to reset that error... you need to turn the steering wheel all the way to left (hold) then turn all the way to the right(hold) and the system should reset on the next startup. you should also check that your radio & alarm is working properly

nope its still doing it, i followed ure instructions and it still comes up with the battery/alternator msg. I called up mb and they said that the alternator probably isnt good, but the car is under warranty otherwise that part is 560 at warehouse price

i had the alternator/battery message a short while ago... turns out, it wasn't the alternator or battery, it was the alternator regulator... warranty fix, free of charge...

get an optima yellow top ;0)

you'll need a longer ground cable and a different battery tray if you want to do it right.
