Deciding whether I should get these wheels or keep what I have (want the HRE's, have the 5 spokes). Help me decide

I've always been a fan of the classic 5 spokes. Anything more and it just looks too cluttered to me. I know I'm probably in the minority on that one though.

I like you spoke wheels Ahmad but also like HRE but the 8 dual spokes are better looking than the 9 duals spokes is up to you really i really like how the car looks with the seavas wheels. just like jtbeche said : I know I'm probably in the minority on that one though.

I'm with JT and acb3nz on the classic look. BUT, those are HRE's. And, just having HRE's takes pesedence over looks sometimes. And those HRE's are nice.

IMO, I'd take the HRE's.

Seriously?
I think HRE's are over priced and over hyped. I have an old set of racinghart TypeC 18X8 for my accord. Forged centers, high polish anodized lips, machined center lug cover, plus a beautifully made center locking nut with real carbon fiber insert that makes Hres look like cheap little wheels.
On top of that, they are 1/2 the price of HREs on that same size.

those HRE's look sick, especially if they had a BBK show right behind them. How much are they asking for the HRE's?

You drive a Benz my friend. Don't tell me they are not overpriced and hyped. I could buy an Acura that has more functionailty, value and is possibly better looking then my Mercedes. But I know I speak for most when I say we buy a Mercedes not for it's quality and value, but rather for it's name, prestige and societal perception.

So, yeah, HRE's are overpriced, but they are the "Mercedes" of wheels.

And I know what Racing Hart Type C's are.....gorgeous wheels!!

Sure no problem brook. The HRE's do have alittle curb rash though. If I get them I would have them refinished. It may take me some time to decide though. Im starting to think that I want to keep my wheels. I love the HRE's but only real enthusiasts can tell what they are. When I park my car at a meet I think my wheels get the most attention (w/ HRE's, DPE's, and I forged on other cars). I know they are "cheap" wheels but they look good and thats all that matters right? (unless you race your car). I dunno, im confused, maybe ill wait til tax returns and just add a third set of wheels for my clk The guy that selling them is going to be ordering the HRE's that look like Porsche Turbo wheels (you know what im talkin about), now THOSE are SICK!!!!!!!!

Benzz - Having seen your car and your Sevas rims in person, I think you should definitely keep your current rims. In the end, it's all about your personal taste - but I think they are really beautiful rims - and the size of the lip (even on the front pair) is sweeeeet - and it's polished/chromed/shiny as *****!!!. With HRE 441's on your CLK you're only going to achieve that lip on the rear set. There's a reason people compliment your rims at our local meets - they are unique and look great on your car. The other thing about those particular HRE's, and I'm talking from personal experience having had them on my car, is that they are extremely hard to keep clean - just look at all those little spaces between the spokes - brake dust/road grime and general dirt will all accumulate in there and even with bony a$$ fingers like mine it's a pain to get in there. I'll bet your wheels are simple to keep clean in comparison. Don't get me wrong, the HRE's are sweet - but even as rare as they may be, I bet you'll see more HRE's around here than Sevas.

BTW - your new fenders look great, I can't wait to see them in person. Keep P.M. ing me about meet dates - one day my lazy a$$ will show up .

Thanks for your opinion. You're right that they are extremely easy to keep clean. The chrome lip I just wipe down with a wet chamois and they are back to blingin. I saw that the lip on the HRE's Brian is selling is dull in comparison to the Sevas and they have a lil curb rash. BUT I have seen the wheels on your car and they are Especially with the Brembo BBK peeking behind it. Seriously I think you have the nicest clk in our area. Now if you can make it to the next meet that would be awesome.
jrsaelsco- Thanks for posting that pic. I remember when u first got those wheels and I was drooling all over my keyboard! Nice setup!
After what lowphat said Im leaning towards keepin the wheels. I also let my bro drive my car and I drove his to see what they look like spinning and I almost wet my pants! Decisions decisions.

keep your rims man......something about the solid star pattern...and the bulky body of the W208's make the proportions very very sweet....for me the more spokey rims go with cars taht are not sooo muscle looking like the clk....maybe better fitted for the c class or the new w209 clk......i vote to keep yours...

Replica lorinser fenders. If you want VERY good quality, CHEAP, and predrilled go to tommotorsport. c o m And no I dont have any stock or anything in that company. I was very pleased with fitment (just spray and play). Of course it needed a little fine tune adjusting but nothing major. Dont everyone buy em, i want to be one of the few! lol
Given everyones opinions, i think im gonna stick with these wheels. I was lookin at new cars the other night and i think i will pick up a SL600 in the next year or two after I get a new place to live. I will post pics of my ride when it gets out the body shop!
Thank you everyone for your opinions, I appreciate it!

If you are going to start entering your car in car shows, I would say go for the HRE's, you can always have the lips repolished!!
