Question about your Carlsson RS front bumper????

Ok my car is at the body shop right now and getting some stuff mounted and a fresh paint job but the problem im having is that when they show me how the front bumper is going to look it has a 2 inch gap right below the front grill and i didnt like it. I was wondering if i need to tell them to take the reinforcer bar in front of the car in order to make the bumper fit good. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

when i had my rs replica bumper put on, they had to do major mods to make it fit......they had to first saw the damn bumper in half cut some of it off, and re-fiberglass it back together....after that was done, i remember them taking off all the bumper reinforcements to make it fit correctly.

This is why I molded it onto the stock bumper - I wasn't about to take out the bumper reinforcement.

So i guess they gonna have to take out the reinforcement in order to fit properly, sounds a little scary but it has to be done, thanks for the help.

To be honest i dont want to take them off but if i dont it will look very ugly with a 2 inch gap on the botton of the grille and also right beside the city lights you can almost fit my hand and i dont like that. Man dont know what to do ne more people are telling me in order to get it right the reinforcement has to be off, others are telling me not, so im very confuse on what to do at this piont.

Where did you get the bumper? Mine fit like a glove. Gotta give props to Felix this time. Maybe post a picture so we can see what you mean.

TK...I got the **** from ebay. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow when i go back to the bodyshop for my final decision on how i wanted to look. BTW Im not doing this myself im having professionals working on it but they dont even know what to do, they are telling me that the bumper is incorrectly made. I should of left the car alone but i been putting close to $10,000 now in mods and also painting the whole car again so everything will match just feel like picking up my gun and shoot.

I would tell those guys to STOP. They are going to screw it up. If you don't have a custom body shop near you, look for a collision repair place that works on high end cars. Those guys usually have alot of body repair experience and can work with body kits. Don't worry, it'll all come together.

At least the fenders look good! Yo Freddy, lets order 2 bumpers form Felix at Europassion and save on shipping. I might get the rear w/ c/f diffuse too. Anyone have pics of the rear w/ c/f diffuse?

Yeah the fender look great Ahmad. The bumper looks like **** I dont know what to do im trying to see if i can take it back where i got it and see if they send me a new one but its not looking good either. i also try to talk to them if they can mold the bumper like the AMG but they told me that they dont do that here, insted they want me to take it to this place located in the ghetto and dont want to do that. Getting a new bumper i dont think i want to spend more money on the body i want the BBK.

Cut your losses bro. Dont try to make that fit. Fitment is HORRIBLE. At least tell everyone where you got it so they dont buy it form them. I will probably get another bumper form Felix cuz TK said it fit perfectly.

That looks like the old material which is very difficult to bend. The new stuff is real pliable. The only problems with fitment that I had was the four screws around the lights but the plastic part that they screw into can be loosened and adjusted to fit the bumper and also like I said the new material bends relatively easy.

You right Kill. Ok i just got back fromt the shop again an after putting $200 more in they pockets they will be doing an special way to make things fit better. When i saw how it will look now afetr the extra modifications i told them yes go ahead and do it, so basicly instead of the 2 inch gap on the sides will have now less than a half inch gap i can live with that better but they also need to make themselfs some new brackets and fill around the lights after all it wont be that bad will post pictures once its out of the damn shop i feel a little happy now, but its costing me a lot of $$$ to make it look right.
