Now I know that the proper offset for clk's is 35, but is there a chance of fitting these on a 2001 clk?
245/40/zr18 on 8J X 18 H2 ET44

00 clk 320 and 3 hondas. Darn I am down to 4 cars.

The wheels will tuck in almost 1/2 inch. No problem with the fender lip, but I think you might have rubbing issues with the suspension or inside the fender.
Just get 10mm spacers and longer bolts.

Thanks for your reply. 10mm spacers are all I need to get these wheels to fit then? And finally, are spacers safe to use?

yes. hubcentric spacers are safe to use. Lorinser uses them on most applications. You can also buy them from H&R.

The spacers are NOT all you need. As CLKGEORGE stated, you will need LONGER lug bolts to accomodate the extra 10mm's.
