New Wheel Setup
I am playing with the idea of new rims right now but here is the catch...
I want to go 18x8 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear...
anyone play around/currently with this set up?
Post pics please if you do have it...

sup tk. that car is clean how much you want for it i give you $2. lol . i tried the 19s in the back and 18s in the front it rides wired and it just doesn't look that great. you can get that nose down look by going max on the rear spring pads and min on the front spring pads. that way the car wouldn't run like crap and you don't have to buy 2 18s tires and 2 19 tires. (you can get a package deal on mounting and balancing, lol). hope that helped you out.

225/40 tranlates into a total diameter (including tires on the wheel) of 25.1 inches (18x8 - what is the recommended tire measurements?)
I did a lot of math to figure that ish out... I am assuming .4 of an inch will not be a HUGE difference but then again - a 1.4 inch drop makes a world of a difference also.
Do the corvette's run this type of setup?

Not really looking for the nose down look... I live in the New York and potholes are just an everyday issue... while I dont drive the car daily, I also dont want to have to worry about every single pothole in the road - just want to provide a bit more cushion to the ride and maybe save the life of my suspension/control arms/all that good stuff... maybe even provide a bit less road noise which seems to be comin from the front tires more than anywhere else on the car.

i dont know how you can keep the 19's on your car here with all these potholes. i dropped down to 18's and every month its something new whether it be a bent rim, bent lip, blown out tire, etc.

Not looking for slanted look...
Per my calculations above, the wheel and tire diameter isnt too far off... Well if I do go thru with this and it the look just doesnt work... i'll be in the classifieds selling the rims...
