guys i need to know is it a norm in japan to have the clk manufactured 98 and register year 2000?and that car are consider year 2000?i am facing this problem by the importer yanase .if u have any details regarding this pls mail it to me.if you know the contact no for yanase japan i would be very much appreciated cause everything are written in japan.cheers.

My 400E is a late 1992 and came to my country as a 1993, it was auctioned in japan on january 2006.
Yanase is a HUGE importer of MB's into Japan, if you are dealing with them directly I doubt they would try playing cheap tricks.
BTW my car dosen't have any plate that points out to the production year, I got the production year by running the VIN through a russian website. is the plate near the top of the radiator indicating to the production year somehow?
