Carbon Fiber Hood For Sale!!!
i have decided to go for a different look and i'm selling my carbon fiber hood. it's the oem look black carbon fiber hood with no vents or any of that stuff. it is painted silver and as the shop tod me the paint can be removed and expose the carbon fiber or it can be repainted how ever you want. it does shave a good amount of weight of the car and if you have a lots of HP you can feel the difference a liitle. it uses the oem locks to lock in place and it fits the oem grill. i prefer a local buyer to do a pick up but if any one wants it i am willing to ship. the asking price is $400 for pick up and $400+shipping for people who want it shipped. i will only shipp ups because it's cheaper and in my experience they are very careful with handeling packages. here are some pics you can see the carbon fiber area in the mdiddle op of the hood which is exposed. as you can see it fits oem and it's not like every other carbon fiber hood out there that fits all jackedup this one fits great. you can tell by looking around the lights and the bumper.

i said it wasn't available anymore because when i took it off the car i noticed a couple of cracks and i'm not about to sell a messed up lip of course i can use some bondo and cover it up but karma man what goes around comes around, and i don't want that to happen to me in the future. you know what i mean? i don't like to sell an item unless if it's in a condition good enough for myself to buy.

i'd like to pick it up but still debating. how can the shop lift the paint off the hood w/o damaging the clear coat underneath where the CF is? using acetone or any solvent that removes paint is harsh on any surface. i've seen what those solvents do to the original surfaces and it's not pretty except when it's metal.
maybe someone with experience on this can chime in.

Hahahhaha, you guys are hilarious. VIP send me a price quote for shipping to 20878 (Gaithersburg, MD). Is the paint in good condition? Ill buy it if shipping is reasonable. Let me know, money is in bank and will send it to you through paypal. Anyone know how much it would cost to get the paint removed? Thanks

Sorry VIP, I think its gonna end up costing me more to get your hood and get it repainted than buying a new one. Im picking up another set of wheels this weekend too. 19" SSR GT3's in a Satin finish. Might cancel my order for the reps depending on how these look on the car (If i dont ill have 4 sets of wheels . I really need to stop spending money on this car. Goal is to have a renntech SL600 next year.

No Problem Man Don't Even Worry About It. I Just Painted Mine Because I Wanted To Keep The Car One Color And I Just Wanted The Hood For It's Weight Reduction Purposes For The Track. But Good Luck With Youre Wheels And The Car And It Was Great Talking To You Man Youre One Koo Guy. So Everyone I Guess The Hood Is Back In The Market. I Confirmed With Maker Of The Hood And The Body Shop And They Said That The Painted Areas Can Be Sanded Down And Reclear Coated For About $200 And I Checkd Shipping With Ups It Will Cost Between $98- $101. And I Lower The Hood To $300 So Who Ever Wants It Let Me Know.

Yea VIP is a cool guy. He's got HUGE plans for his clk and I cant wait to see the results. I just painted my grill black and it didnt come out well, too windy. Need to buy one already painted. Damn 300?????? You think that body shop by your place can remove the paint from just the bump in the middle for like 100? Id buy it if the total came to 550 and it came out lookin nice.
