Thinking of getting CLK 320 (99-01)
Just sold my 2004 c230 sports sedan, and was thinking of getting a CLK 320. What do you guys enjoy/hate most about the vehicle? Is it feasible to get one for around 14k for a 99 or 2000...?
Your feedback is very appreciated

I paid 17.5 for 99 320 near mint with 39k on the dial last March and considered it a very good deal. $14k is a little low unless there are problems imho. If I were you I would plop down a few grand more and get an '01. With a 99 320 you will have the ugly black menace on the lower panels that you'll want to cover with a body kit (2k), 16" shopping cart wheels will need to be changed (2k minimum). There were a host of other upgrades as well since 99. Penny wise and dollar foolish is the adage to best describe trying to save money on a Benz.

I found a 2001 320 CLK with 91K going for 15K....it's from a dealer in VA, who said it has a clean car fax, and already state inspected
too good to be true? what things should I look for? Thanks for the help!

My 98 CLK had 95K when i bought it. I had to put a few thousand into it to get it back in good shape. I would spend the money up front and get a nicer CLK if i had it to do over again.

Also, get a 430 if you can at all. I would wait and get the 430 if i had it to do over, but the 320 isnt a slow car by most standards. my father has an E430 and it has pretty good power. I could trade up to a 430 this summer, but i think im going to just wait longer (lesson learned) and save for a 55 or an M3

430's are nice but many of us just don't need the extra deep go pedal. I've never hit top speed in my 320 and don't really intend to as I am plagued by a wife and child that at least seem to want me around for awhile. By the time I hit 110 I'm on someones bumper around here anyway. Go for whatever you can pay cash for.

yeah, my dad got my clk320 for my first car, now im tryin to get a 430 or 55 this summer, im 18 now, started driving the clk320 when i was 16...I hate getting killed by V8 mustangs, so its time to upgrade...oh and to awnser your question, cause this is your 2nd benz, its a upgrade for you, but in the future most likely your gonna want a 430, i have no CONS on a clk, i love the car.
