need help on intake for 320
wusup yall.i was searching on ebay and came across this intake. im in need for some more power on my 00 320.do you guys think this is legit?has any1 ordered?its only 50buks.any info would help,thanx guys...heres the link

This topic has been here before. The bottom line with that setup is that you arent going to get more than 5 HP, if you get any at all. You are getting MORE air, but it's hotter by virtue of coming through an open element filter and is therefore less dense. If you really want to try it, go ahead. I had an open element filter on my audi and loved it because it sounded great. I want to do an intake for the CLK at some point, but all the plans i've come up with so far have been too expensive. honestly, i would just look around your town and find someone with a mandrel bender to make you a pipe to go down into the area behind your front right foglight. Put the cone down there so that it is getting cool air that has not been heated in the engine bay. You may also want a water bypass valve if you put the cone down that low. Search on here for intake, etc. and you'll see my old threads on the subject.

Also, you could look into fitting an airbox off of an SLK320 or a Chrysler Crossfire onto the engine and have a dual intake setup, but you'll have to find out a way to get the throttle body and MAF to match up without the CLK's engine software going crazy. Post pics of whatever you end up doing. I'd check out Greenfilters for the cone itself tho, the one on ebay is a ricer POS. But that pipe might be useful.
