Ah, got it! I totally agree with you Linh.

Thumbs up

Very nice, I think some mesh type grill would look good where the openings on the front and back spoiler are... But either way the car looks great.

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the mesh is there. I had the mesh that came with the kit anodized black. I prefer the combination of red and black to other colors. Also, anodization is chip proof.

Ben, I just realized that there is no flat hood emblem or star hood ornament. Did you take off the flag hood emblem and then have the area filled in?

I know NormC32 on the forums completely removed his emblem off of his hood and had it patched up at his dealership.

The hood does not come with an emblem (or a hole for one) because of the large star in the grill.

It's the Expression CL style hood (w/ grill) that I told you about before. I think it's much nicer than the smaller-star grill out there (no offense to anyone).

Mach 430

Hallo guys from USA.

I am from Germany, and I know the company of MH-DEZENT verrry
good. MH-DEZENT is existing 19 years and they make a lot of
nice body-kits and performance parts.
I can tell you that the only original "DTM-Body-Kit" and CL-LOOK
comes from MH-DEZENT.It is their idea since 20 years.
They made the 1. SEC-LOOK for the 190. Can you remember?
All other Kits are bad copies.
MH-DEZENT also make their own design for wheels, exausts and
other MB-parts.
The quad exhaust for CLK and C is the only idea from MH-DEZENT.
The only company that builds a quad exhaust with exelent
performance, that is realy engeneard is MH-DEZENT.
What EVO SPORT now shows is a bad copie .
I speak as a customer that is verry lucky with MH-DEZENT
performence parts since more than 15 years.

Well, let's see how to dissect this one. I would have left this alone, but you had to go and bad mouth someone for absolutely NO reason. First off, thank you for the informative history on MH-Dezent and their accolades. You claim to be an MH customer and say you know the company "verry good". Are you certain you are only a customer? My sources tell me that you know the company EVEN BETTER than you claim.

While MH may have been the first with a quad exhaust for the CLK, I don't see how other systems are a "bad copie". Evosport developed the quad system on this particular car from scratch, full stainless, mandrel bent and dyno tested. Making an exhaust system is not exactly rocket science, but kudos to MH-Dezent for being the first.

The body kit is from Europe from your dear friends at Expression. I'm sure you also know them very well! I thank you for the good information, but I'm a bit offended you care to hide behind this facade pretending to be a customer (do you really think we're that ignorant?). More so, if you are so intimate with MH-Dezent's history, you also know that your grievance should be with Expression, nobody else. I'm trying not to stoop to your level and bad mouth anybody, but based on my professional experience with MH-Dezent's business ethics, I really don't know how they remain in business.

I'm just confused because all of this "expression" stuff is identical to MH dezent stuff.

I remember lorinserCLK saying that he had the MH-Dezent hood......and it is the same "CL style" that Mach has on his car. But mach's is expression. It's also confusing because mach made a bunch of posts in the last few months about getting all MH-Dezent stuff for his car. Now he has all the same looking stuff, but its not MH-Dezent??

Someone fill us in here. What is expression? Is it a knock off company? do they offer the same quality of MH-Dezent, but at a better price?

I can tell you that I have been in contact with both companies directly. MH-Dezent claims that they have designed the hood. The grill is actually a mercedes OEM part from either the SL or the CL depending on which one you want. The hood is made to hold the factory grill. I am not sure if Expression is copying the design or actually buying them directly from MH-Dezent. One thing I can tell you for sure, underneath my hood is an MH-Dezent logo. I ordered direct from MH-Dezent and had no problems. Unfortunately, it was a big hassle and extra cost getting the stuff through customs. It would have ended up costing me much less if I would have bought it locally (Evosport).

All,

Let me shed a little light on this situation as it is confusing, even to us - a dealer for it!

We originally met MH at the Essen Motorshow in Dec. 01. At that time we knew nothing about Expression and agreed to import the MH product. Well, to eliminate a lot of the story (which for legal reasons cannot be disclosed at this time) we are now not dealing with MH, but with Expression.

Expression made the kits for MH in their BE factory. MH claims to have designed the parts and the Expression made them specifically for only him. Expression claims that this is not true and that they have the legal right to produce the parts with their name.

Net/net, the Expression stuff is MH and MH is Expression. The main difference is that we can actually get the Expression stuff with minimal delay!

To me I could care less what name is on it. They are the same parts. I care more about being able to service my customers, and the only way I can do that is by retailing the Expression line rather then the MH line. More will be posted on this in the coming weeks.

Thanks

Brad
