brake fluid

so i put dot 3 in when i changed my rotors and pads my dumbazz didnt read the cover that says dot 4. anyone know if i ruined it? I drove the car not more than 30 feet so far. planning on bleeding the fluid and putting dot 4 in.

its not that big of a deal... but, since brake fluid is cheap, just bleed it and refill with the right one. I don't think its going to mess anything up

before you go off and start bleeding your system......

I hope you know what you're doing. If you let the master cylinder reservoir go dry during the process.....you'll be coughing up $300 bucks for a new master cylinder.
