Since light bulbs are such a hot topic (with pics)
Hey all,
Just thought I'd share what I consider to be a great find. I'm sure some of you already know the info but hopefully someone will find it useful. I had been searching for various bulbs to replace the 2 smaller inside bulbs on the front lights to more closely match the Xenons in the front. They are H6w type bulbs with LEDs as opposed to the standard filament. Here's the link:
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_i...oducts_id=1186
Attached are photos with one of these LED bulbs installed and one of the originals. They pics speak for themselves. You can clearly see that the LED bulbs are more of a true white and not as "yellowish." Oh yeah, i'm not affiliated with this company in any way, just think they have a great product
Cheers,
Dominik

Are These Hard To Install?
I haven't changed the bulbs in my car (01 CLK55) but was wondering if these would be hard to install myself? I assume not but thought I would ask. Thanks for the info.

simpleset mod ever....just plug and play you may have to add a resistor to handle the load difference for the computer so it doesn't give you a light bulb out error....but if you dont mind it dont worry about it....
Quad HID in head lights and fog lights and Led ultra white in the cith lights!

yea i ordered these last year from them.. only problem I had was one of the bulbs shipped was defective.. and they ship from UK. Takes a while to receive and send back and receive again.. U can try superillumination.com same product great price.. same hid look and a high quality finished product..Worth the few bucks for the bulbs ,regardless where u get them from...

US Websites That Sell Same Product
Hey, can you give the exact part number and the US Websites that sell same product? I went to the http://autolumination.com/ website but not sure where to go from there? Also, what is the part number and location of the resistor you speak of to make this work. Thanks for the info as I would love to eliminate my yellow lights!

what is the number on these lights?
I dont mind cutting into the wiring I rather do that than have the error show up the next time I take the car to the dealer and he replaces the bulbs ...
inside lights and fog lamps?

are you sure you know what the difference between hid and led...cause you cant just pop in an hid buld and it'll work, hid (high intesity) need balast and possible starters to work and give off way more concentrated light where as an led (light emitting diode) may be bright but give off little to no long distance visability these however can be just "popped" in .....just a clarification!

maybe he popped in a Sylvania Bulb I tried those and they are nice and bright too ... but wanted to go more for the LED type .... since they do look brighter
as far as the distance goes you know I had never noticed that I own plenty of LED flashlights and Petzl Headsets and they seem to be just as good as any light I have used in the past ...
anyway .. I guess I take apart the lights on my car and maybe try the sylvanias or philips ...

ok so how the heck do I get these part #s for the lights .. aside from taking them apart ... but I guess I am going to have to them apart anyway ...

what the hell? you pretty much have a W209 CLK front end except for the fact that the headlights are still two separate compartments. you got a *******g sweet deal with all that work already done! how much was the car? you should try to find the previous owner and give him props for a good job

ah, that makes sense now. your headlights threw me off. it is possible, though, except for maybe that flat-black-star on the grill. people make the amg bumper and those projectors. lol i guess it's an insult to have that car and front shots make it look like some modded CLK
