Spare key

Hello fellas,
Anyone have to purchase a new key yet? Unfortunately mine only came with one, and you know what will happen if I lose that one....screwed! Anyhow, called the dealer for a few different reasons and I keep getting different prices, one guy told me $180, the next, $267, the next $236...does anyone know how much I should pay for one?
Thanks!!

Since you have a '99, your key will be different from the currently produced key.

It is smaller, and functions better.

The costs? It runs about $150 just for the electronic key (no small metal key included).

Oh, and an FYI, if you happen to have 2 metal keys, well, they won't fit in the new key. The new key design doesn't allow the small key to slide forward. You can only pull it out from the top.

I have 2 keys for my 2002, and I'm getting a brand new key tomorrow (my key is a little sratched, so I ordered a new one... i'm just too picky).

If you are interested in the key, let me know.

mmgrad, thanks for the reply. So are you saying that I can buy your key and have my dealer program it for me? If so, how much?
Thanks!

I got new keys under warranty .

My car wouldn't start, and that was one of the many things they did in an attempt to fix the problem. Dunno what the final problem was, but it's working now.

Key I think was $130 or $150 and you get the small key coded for your car and the switchblade key. I ordered the small wallet key too.
