My 3 Yr Old Flushed my Key down the toilet

So, is the only possible way to get a key through the dealership? If so WOW 100 - 200 bucks for a damm key. Has anyone done an auto start / push button to their vehicle?

...Cute things kids do, heh!

Anyway...you're living in Georgia, spshond...you really don't need a remote starter......do you? We, here....in up North....would be nice to have that for the cold winter days...But, I'm not going to mess around w/ the whole eletronic system just to install that. Be happy, spshond, that you don't have to get in your vehicle when it's -40C/-72F (or, even lower)!...But--hey...I LOVE skiing--and Banff is beautiful!....So, it's a trade-off.

I questioned an installer who did my friends Caddy once and he said with all the fiber optics and stuff, he wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I'm sure someone would but might not be the right thing to do.

YES you can integrate a pushbutton starter on these cars. There are several generic kits you can integrate into the electronics system with the instructions provided. However, most of the kits require a key to be integrated into them in order to function.

Yes you are right, the key is necessary n some of these remote starters. Oh well, time to pay the dealer.
