heated seats

Just a question. Since the car comes prewired with all the options, I was wondering could you add on the heated seats? Being that im looking for a car and most of the ones i saw dont come with the option, I was thinking maybe I could just buy the buttons and the fuse and whatever else you would need to make the heated seats work. Is this crazy or can it be done?

it can be done BUT is an extreme HASSLE as the 208 seatcovers are a lot of work to take off and to put back on

greetingz,
Hey Steve, can you give some basic instructions on how to remove and replace the covers? I have a replacement seat base but I took the seat off and couldn't figure out how to get the old seat base off and was worried about trying to get the new one on once I did. I have the WIS and it doesn't help. Do you use a special tool? Tips or tricks?

WIS should help you enough...especially with the seat base - that is not difficult at all...it is the 208 backrest that is the worst seatcover to be working with.

and yes, one needs to add HEATED PADDINGS in order to get heated seats (the US spec 208s are prewired and that is all).

greetingz,
Steve, is the leather seat base a different part # for a heated seat or this seat base the same either way? Are the heated paddings separate from the seat base itself or how does it work? Thanks!
