Help: Windshield Washer Pump Not Working
Anyone have their windshield washer pump stop working? Mine doesn't seem to even make a sound. I assume it could be a fuse but if the same pump is connected to the washers on the lights- those work. Anyone know where the fuse, if any, is to check on this?
If it is the pump, has anyone replaced it (part is less than $30.00)? Instructions would be helpful if anyone has them. Thanks in advance.

I had a similar probelm on my 01 430 a few months ago. I checked fuses, but everything checked out. Had it replaced under extended warranty at dealer. Looks like a few things need to be removed to get at the pump for DYI. Since I have warranty, I had them bang their knuckles.....

The pump is attached to the washer fluid reservoir. You have to first disconnect all the lines from the res., then unbolt the reservoir from the chasis. Standing in front of the car, you will see a metal heat shield attached to the left side of the washer fluid tank. Under that shileld is your pump. Cost is about $25 at the dealer. Good luck!
