Mirror glass

Here's another interesting problem. My outside rear mirror glass (driver's side only) looks like...it's melting! Half of it looks 'clear' and the bottom half is more bronze. The line of delineation looks like the clear part is 'melting' into the bronze half. Really weird. It creates double vision at night also so it's really annoying.

Does anybody...a) know where I can get a new mirror glass and b) know how to change it?

i suggest going to the dealership for a replacement part and having them install it. Either that or a bodyshop that you know well.

If you tilt the mirror downward, at the top you will see a retaining wire that needs to be removed. Then you can pull out the glass Iit's a press fit).

Call the dealer to see if they just sell the glass.

I had some minor damage to one of mine and needed just a few parts to repair it....but had to buy an entire assembly for around $380....from which I took out the parts I needed.
