thanks i was gonna go with royal purple but is there a diifrence like 10w40 whats perfered

actually i am using 10w40 grade....dun see any reason why we can't use that...so far no problems after using it for 3 service changes

engine able to rev better and still remains quiet.....no comment on the claims of better fuel consumption though

btw the oil is also used for w203, w210, w220, w140 and mine w208, the last three belongs to my parents and also used on our malaysian national car ....waja

I think it depends on where you live.....

The dealership here required Mobil 1 0w-40 otherwise I would void the warranty, according to them

yup u r right but over here is tropical country....so dun see any reason to get 0W50....

but recommended to follow your owners manual though.....using 10W40 cause mine is already a 6 yr old car so a thicker grade oil is always better...wat do u think?

I agree completely. Does your owners manual state what oil to use? Mine doesn't.

nope....this was based on the mercedes dealership on wat they r putting in my car.... actually is 10w30 but i see no harm in using 10w40 though
