Question CLK - Interior Squeaks.Noises.Quality Problems

1. I have a lot of noises in my CLK430 that I never had in my SC300 Lexus. The passenger seat squeaks so loudly that you havr to deliberately talk OVER the noise. This is the most annoying problem.

2. The headliner below the Moonroof is completely off track for no apparent reason.

3. All of the motors - the windows and sunroof are just plain weak.

4. The dash split a quarter inch when the car hit 52kmiles (ooo just out of warranty.

What the heck is going on with this $45,000+ car??? My former Lexus had no problems whatsoever in the 10 months I drove it (I sold it because the miles were too high 80k+).

This '99CLK had 60k miles on it- but that is supposed to be nothing for a Mercedes.

I have a 99 CLK 320. The dash is a defect. The dealer changed mine without even asking for it. My father also has a 99 CLK 320 and they did the same thing for him. We used Mercedes of Miami.

CLK 320 Avantgarde
Can anyone post a picture of their cracked dashboard?

If possible, I have the same problem with dash, noises are coming from a rear trim they replaced but didn't fit properly. I will sort that out in time.

Nick
