thinking about purchasing a 2000 clk vert....

i know that carfax only reports information that has been reported to it, but this one seem's to have been serviced many times, is this normal?
First time buying a used car so im a little weary of these things, i know our 01 E320 has rarely been serviced (it's been solid.)
The car is Silver / Gray interior with ~86k miles. dealer says price is 19.5k, what do you guys think?

Seems like a lot of service. Get the VIN, take it to your local mercedes dealer and ask for the Service Manager. Explain your situation and ask for a Vehicle Master Inquiry. If he refuses, ask him to review it without showing it to you and summarize why the car has needed so much service. If you are buying it from a mercedes dealer, demand to see the VMI or no deal.

the car looks beautiful but theres no way im paying 20k for a car thats had that many electrical / brake / engine services lol. noooo way!
also.....is there any reason for such a discrepancy between the kbb prices and what private owners are listing their CLK's? KBB says most 2000's should be around 15k-17k (18k for a really good one with low mileage) but most owners seem to be unhappy about budging from the 20-21k-ish area.
:dunno: thought KBB was a definitive source to assume negotiations for pricing.
