can someone please let me know how to take out the plastic engine cover. i tried to look for clips of some sort but didnt find any. i have a 00 clk 320. thnx in advance for the replies

ok guys,i figured it out. just that ive neva took it out before and didnt wana break the plastic cover,but it did come off eazy. everything went from brown to black, cause it was pretty filthy. i think ima hose everything down witih an engine cleaner. before i do that, any vital engine parts that i should cover up?? and should the engine be on or off while i spray and rinse it off?? thanx guys
