Need Help: Want to put AMG Wheels on 98 CLK 320, need info and pics
Just got a 98 CLK 320, I luv the AMG wheels that comes on the CLK AMG.
What would fit the best, 17s or 18s? Meaning do I have definitely have to lower on 18s or is the wheel gap ok?
What comes stock on the the CLK AMG 55? Can someone please post a pic for me? What is the name of the wheel and size?
Where is the cheapest place to get OEM ones?

CLK55 has 17" AMG Mono, I would recommend you to get 18" AMG mono instead of 17". Lower with H&R would give you the perfect fender gap.

I have two 17x7.5 AMG monoblock wheels and 4 michelin pilot sport tires. If you choose to go this way, you will only need to buy 2 AMG wheels. I will sell mine to you cheap. Tires and wheels are less than 300 miles. Bieggest apperance problems with 1998 and 1999 CLK 320 are the wheels and the black underbody trim. The wheels you are taking care of by changing to AMG's. A simple and inexpensive way to fix the underbody trim is to have it painted the same color. I have seen this before and it looked quite nice.

my sister recently got a set of 17" AMG thin-spokes for her 00 CLK320. they are all 17x7.5s with 225/45 Contisport 2 on them. I'll try to take some picture soon, if she ever washes her car.
btw Contisport 2 is much more quiet than those contisport i had on my previous 328Ci sport. The traction of the Contisport 2 is not that good though.
