its a custom dtm kit, and it looks pretty good to me, obviously its not done, with wide enough wheels to fill in the gap, it should look pretty cool. I bet you he'll have to run 19x14's in the rear to fill in that gap. only thing i dont like is the gas cap and how the rear moldings carry on. Props on the creativity.
Atleast its not another CLK with a Carlsson RS front bumper....

I never understood the logic behind adding several hundred pounds of bondo and fiberglass to an already slow car to make it heavier, slower, and in this case, way uglier.
Most of the widebodies you see at car shows aren't functional at all - the air scoops deliver air to...the tire treads; the suspension improvements to fill up the now wider track are...spacers; and the car's drag coefficient is now somewhere on par with a Winnebago.
Widebodies in this sense are pretty much as ricey as it gets. Mods that copy other cars and mimic the look of functionality, but retain none of it.
Some suggestions: civic heads and supra tails would complete the look, plastic brake caliper covers (w/ Brembo logo) and a full roll cage (doesn't even have to be welded in). This car looks like it's meant to be driven hard and can get up to speed (lol) so the roll cage will make it safer (most likely for when the driver actually takes a look at the car and spontaneously totals it to put it out of its misery).

Oh my god. Please don't post any more pictures of that thing.
It's like a bad wreck. You don't want to look, but you do anyway and end up disgusted.

You guys jump too quickly to conclusions when seeing a project that isn't even halfway done. Wait till it's complete before you judge it, there aren't even rims on it or anything.
Like most poeple say, 95% of widebody kits arent even functional. It's all for show, I'm excited to see how this one turns out.
And no, I wasn't high, I just like seeing people think outside the box, and not another CLK with the same kits.

Maybe in LA or NY the Carlsson RS is the same old kit, but in Chicago it's rather unique. There are plenty of CLK's but very few modded, so I get stares and positive comments all the time. That thing is an abomination plain and simple. I think he would get laughed out of the HIN show with those pointy arches and roaring 20's sideboards. If you want something wide and low, get an Abrams tank, they weigh about the same.

Not sure if you've showed at one, but judges love new cars, you don't think they see people utilize the same kits? You win, if you have something never done before.

Actually, he would probably place in Euro Wild at HIN, you'll be surprised but most cars like this place. All the top NCCA cars are basically widebody, no doubt you got a nice kit, but too many CLK owners have them, again, I love them, but it's nice to see someone step out of the box, and go extreme. Atleast it's not some type of "Shogun" kit, it's modeled after the DTM kit used on the Mercedes DTM cars. I know a car like that, with the right work, would place at HIN.
