Seat lactch broken, what to do?
Hey, my passenger seat latch on 1999 CLK 320 won't work to release the seat back to fold forward for back seat passengers (not that there are passengers). What is the process to get into the seat? I'm hoping it may just be a cable release which needs to be reset.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help finding a schematic to get into the seat.

99 clk430 seat back release lever broken
i have the exact same problem with a 1999 clk430. it just happened. the fuses all look ok. I suspect something in the motor that is activated by the lever. Is there a way to reset this mechanism? Any thoughts on how to get to the mechanics behind the seat and try a repair? Any way to temporarily get the seat back into a position that would allow a passenger to sit there until I get to the shop for a repair? Thanks in advance.
