Lowering the CLK
Since my main concern about the drop is the front (which for some reason
the front of most cars sit higher than the back), what if I just swapped out
the front sping pads to some lower ones to get rid of some of the gap? I
really like the way the back sits as it is, and would like to leave it at that
height. IS this possible? In no way am I looking for the cheapest route to do
this drop, butif a change in the front spring pads would do the trick, why
not. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
And yes, Chappy, they are REAL Lorinser RS1s. Had to talk the guy I bought the car from into actually selling me the car. I looked at 14 of the CLKs before I found this one, and decided this was it. Take care, all.
do you know what the stock ones are? maybe a part number for these? and how easy are these things to install?
I would love to drop the front a little too but didn't realize the pads would be this inexpensive.

The pads have dots on them (you can reach under your car and count them with your finger tips) that correspond to the pad number.
Thanks

how difficult are these things to install? and what tools are needed?

Personaly this is a job I would leave to a mechanic.
If you do that get new spings and shocks as well.

Carlski: Did you use this thread to do yours? If so, what pads did you use?
