2002 CLK 430
lag in shifting

wondering if anyone knew what could be my problem. my 02 clk430 with 65k miles sometimes when shifting it kind of lags, and its an auto. its not a smooth shift.

get ur tanny oil changed, if u have 65,XXX miles u need one if u havent got one

Mine lags too, but its because the car is cold, and the computer automatically delays shifting in order to heat up the catalytic converters more quickly. There's nothing wrong with the transmission in this case.

After driving for 5 minutes, the shifts should be quick and smooth.
