Arrow Tranny Fluid?

After my extensive search on this forum I still couldn't figure out the grade of transmission I am going to need to do a tranny flush. Called the dealer and all they told me is that its synthetic Mercedes tranny fluid (no ****) and suggested I dont do the flush myself because there is no dipstick (which isnt really a big deal) and since I am getting it done at the company whos been making the tranny flush machines for 10 years I am ok with taking my chances. But still I don't have a clue about the grade of the fluid. Guys some help please?

Atf+4

The spec requirements for MB trans fluids are often unavailable, always vague, and frequently changed. Currently though, for 112 and 113 motors (as well as quite afew others), there is Mopar (chrysler) spec fluid available as an ATF+4 designation. This is the same fluid that Mercedes used in almost all motors up until '04 (and possibly longer - but that is as far as testing verifies). The Chrysler crossfire, which -tragically - shared the same the same driveline as the 208 (and even more of the SLK underpinnings) uses this. It is the the original spec "fill for life" fluid, but it costs less than half as much. If you are really bold you can go with the Wal-Mart branded ATF+4 for $3.00 a quart. I have 140k on a '98 320. Did an MB spec change at 70K, and last month did another fill/drain/refill (used two filters - but that was probably overkill. Only $15 apiece, so what the hell). No probs at all.
