Gold Wheels?
Hmmm....something fishy is going on...
I THINK THE 70'S ARE BACK!! PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC!
Disclaimer: No offense to anyone who likes the gold wheels. i don't mind it; I just thought this was funny enough to bring to everyone's attention. Maybe that's because I'm low on sleep and it's late

I honestly think that chrome, polished, anthracite, silver, etc are so commonplace that people are looking for a more unique look. Obviously, when you go with a unique look you have to be really careful in order to avoid looking RICE... there's a very fine line.
I think so long as you keep it on the high-end and choose a look that flows with the car's style and purpose, you can go with any color you want.
CASE IN POINT VVV
