Jackstand Placement
Where are the best spots to place jackstands under our cars? I will be raising the car with 4 jackstands to change my tranny mount and I dont want to bend anything. Been using ramps and floor jacks since I had the car. This will be my first support of the car using jackstands for support instead of for safety.

I use the center axle housing for one point and for the front I use the points where the A-arms of the suspension connect to the subframe. Hope that helps. Its tough to space out the jack stands in the rear because their are plastic covers that will be stressed if you try to set the stands further out from the axle housing.

I used the rubber or plastic covers behind the sideskirts. 2 on each side, 1 behind the front wheel and one just in front of the rear wheel on each side. Maybe 8" from the side of the car. Didn't look like any friendlier places, esp not in the front or rear of the car.
