Need help w/18" wheels.
Okay I bought 18" wheels and tires.
The front wheels are 18x8.5, 5x112 Offset is 35 and Center bore is: 66.6
The rears are 18x9.5, 5x112 Offset is 35 and Center bore is: 66.6
The tires are Goodyear Eagle F1's.
Fronts: 235/40/ZR18
Rears: 265/35/ZR18
The problem is the wheels and tires don't fit.
The front tire doesn't fit because the screw from the bottom of the strut touches the top of the tire.
The rear tire doesn't fit because it touches the inside of the wheel well.
I was told that spacers should fix the problem by the tire guys.
I was told that I should have 225 in front and 255 in the rear by my wheel guy.
My question is... what are the correct tires sizes for my wheel's dimensions?
What are the tires sizes people are using for 18" wheels, are they using spacers?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

People started responding to the 'CLK 18' thread that locoshaz started (I saw you posted there too).As I stated in that thread, I had heard that the 'roundness' of the sidewall can help 265s fit. Goodyear huh? Hmm. Are you going to get the Z1s in the 255 size this time? Keep us posted.
They should be in next week on the 26th or 27th.
I also bought and have in my Possession H&R spacers, 10mm fronts and 15mm for rears just in case. Gotta have a plan "B". I don't want to wait any longer than I have to to get my new wheels installed.
I'll keep posting updates here.
Had to put 15 mm H&R spacers on the rears.
The fronts went on fine.
Here are some quick pics.
I'll post better ones later.
