CLK320 Cabriolet
clk320 Cabriolet squealing windows
I have a 2002 clk 320 convertible. The windows have started to squeal as I put the windows up or down. I'm assuming it's because of the aged rubber trim which also is starting to get caught on the edge of the window when I put the window up. After an attempt to repair the slightly torn rubber, I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the whole rubber trim just gets caught and shreds as I roll up the window. Is there a simple treatment to soften or grease the rubber to preserve it and to prevent the annoying squeal?

Sorry, jalberto, but you should NOT use WD 40 on rubber, as it will chemically react with it and promote its disintegration. Use spray silicone instead, which will not damage the rubber.
