Spark Plugs

Hello,

I have a 2002 CLK430 that just hit 47K miles. Two questions:

1) When should the spark plugs/wires be replaced?

2) Are there two spark plugs per cylinder?

Thanks for any replies!

Mercedes/ Bosch claim spark plug life at 5 years or 100,000, whichever comes first.... most people replace them sooner though.

they also claim that our transmission oil is lifetime oil, which is complete BS. what they want is for us to buy a new trany from them when ours gets messd up due to not changing the oil,lol
