Leaky seats

I have noticed that the air bladders in my multi-contour seats have started not to inflate. First it was the side bolsters, then the lower thigh cushion, and now the lumbar support inflates upon starting the car, then starts to deflate after about 3 min, when the air pump stops (protective feature to not burn itself out.) Short of taking out the seats and dismantling them to reach the air bladders, does anyone know how to seal them back up, kinda like fix-a-flat?

same problem here. i have been "living" with it for the past 3 months. the drivers seat is starting to get weird looking creases in the leather.

mine pumps up and after 5 minutes it starts getting softer, not sure what controls it.

My MB technician friend says it is the air pump cutting off after 3 minutes when it detects a loss of pressure. This is so it doesn't burn itself out conituously running to keep the leaking bags inflated. My seats haven't gotten any wierd creases, but the leather is getting shiny. Time for Leatherique.

Leatherique (www.leatherique.com) is a brand of conditioner/cleaner made specifically for leather. It consists of two separate products, one a rejuvenating oil and the other a cleaner. If you go to the Detailing forum on this site (I don't know how to post a link to it) you will find detailed instructions on how to use it and testimonies of its users. I have applied it to my GL's all over leather and tomorrow, after it warms a bit (sauna effect) I will use the cleaner to get the seats/dash back to original condition. Detailing the interior after the repair was the only part the body shop didn't do a good job at. Hope this helps.
